Centella asiatica

Centella asiatica

Goun and  Fon: Adodo

In India and Madagascar,  an infusion of Centella Asiatica is always used to treat leper and other skin diseases. On the other hand, this plant has also been used as a diuretic and hypnotic. My father used it to cure mental diseases.

Description of the plant

It is a herbaceous plant that lives in a humid environment on lawns

shaded for example. The pubescent stems are creeping.

The leaves are arranged in a rosette They are carried by a long petiole of about 12cm. The flowers are reddish-green and the fruits

flattened circular, separating into two parts when ripe.

Direction of use

Take a large handful of leaves, wash well, and extract the juice by squeezing. Apply directly to the wounds of the skin. Reapply frequently to activate healing.
